Materials:
1 Ball Worsted Weight Cotton (Bernat Handicrafter Cotton ~ Soft Violet used for sample)
Size US 5 or US 6 (3.75 mm or 4mm) knitting needles
**Note: The needle size is really up to you, but if you are a loose knitter, I would strongly suggest a smaller needle size for you so your stitches really "POP" out better! When you knit loose, the "picture" stitches sometimes get lost with the background stitches...remember...the tighter you knit, the better...so if you're not a tight knitter, try changing the size of your needles...let your needles do all the work for you :o)

** Blocking Your Dishcloth **
You can view my online blocking tutorial by following this link:
http://rachelsknittingcorner.blogspot.com/2010/04/how-do-you-block-your-patterns.html

I put the finished Dishcloth on a folded bath towel on the counter (the reason for the folded bath towel is so that you have a thick "base" so that when you push the background stitches of your Dishcloth down...it kind of makes the picture/letter stitches of your Dishcloth embossed or puffed up).  After I put the Dishcloth on the bath towel on the counter, I spray it with a water spray bottle until it's nice and damp...don't worry about how wet it gets, when the stitches are wet, they are really easy to manipulate...then I like to use the back of my knitting needle or fingers to flatten the background stitches, in kind of a "stamping" motion...when you flatten the background stitches, you will notice the pictures or words on your Dishcloth "pop" up.  When working with the letters/pictures, I use the point of my needle to "poke" or "push" the background-stitches that are right beside the letter/picture-stitches, down. Then I gently lay the finished blocked Dishcloth on a flat surface to dry…I like to use my cooling racks for better airflow.
